Hello! My name is Eva Alten and I am a soon-to-be graduate from Texas State University. I will have earned a major in mass communication and a minor in art. I also recently completed the Yoga Teacher Training program that is offered here at Texas State. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and camping. I believe that taking care of one's mental and physical health is so important and I love doing what I can to help others on their wellness journey.
Here are a few fun facts for you to get to know me a little better. I was born and raised in Texas and currently live in San Marcos. I used to play the cello and practice photography. I have been vegetarian for about 10 years. I have a cat named Nala who likes to play fetch and tug-of-war. I want to travel to so many more places and explore new things.
Throughout my college career, many class projects have allowed me to explore my creativity and learn new skills. My portfolio website has a works samples page including some of these class projects. Over the past few years I have gained more experience in Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I believe that mass communication and art go hand in hand because making your message artistically appealing is interesting to the audience and draws more attention to the message. I love applying the content and creation skills I've learned to topics I'm passionate about.
